How Mixterio works, written against the app as it stands today. Where something is not finished, the page says so rather than describing what we intend.
Before you read
Mixterio has not launched yet, so these pages describe how the app behaves rather than walking you through a copy you already have. They get a full pass the week the installer goes out.
Pages
Still to come
Listed so you can see what is coming, and so you never click into an empty page:
- Physical hardware verification for default controller maps, and the on-screen beat grid editor
- Licence activation, at launch
- Troubleshooting analysis, once we have seen what real libraries throw at it
Vocabulary
Terms this documentation uses in a specific way.
- Seam. One transition between two tracks, from the moment the outgoing track starts leaving to the moment the incoming track is established.
- Measured map. The pairings in your library whose transition has been built as audio and graded. These are what the engine reaches for first.
- Set Workbench. The editor where a generated set is a draft: audition individual seams, swap or remove tracks with ranked measured candidates, ban pairs, pin favourites, and drag to reorder.
- Gate. A fixed threshold a rendered seam has to clear. Gates reject, they do not warn.
- Anchor. The beat a seam starts or ends on, snapped to a phrase boundary rather than an arbitrary position.
- Chapter. A block of a set composed ahead of the playhead in endless mode.
